About baionshōmyō
Baionshōmyō (倍音聲明 in Japanese; also known as overtone chanting) is an exercise from the
Nyingmapa School monks, the oldest school of Tibetan Buddhism (
Vajrayana).
Everyone can practice overtone. Both children and seniors practice. During exercise, you turn your mind inside and you can achieve a strong spiritual purification (
misogi). After exercise, you feel fresh, serene and have a clearer mind.
Information for participants

- take comfortable clothes

- the baionshōmyō meditation itself will start with a short warm-up, followed by a meditation of about 40 minutes

During actual exercise
- sit straight and relaxed
- breathe freely
- sound naturally
- at the end, stay in silence
About us
We are an open group of people interested in meditation and breathing exercises. We had the opportunity to practice overtone under the guidance of Tada sensei during his aikido seminars in Italy. Our group has no religious context or commercial character.
